Ocean Discovery Educational Packs
An exclusive learning opportunity for NJ School Districts
These engaging curriculum packs have been developed in the hopes of raising Ocean awareness by providing an interactive learning experience about all it has to offer while educating a new generation of Ocean-lovers and, thus, protectors. The Ocean is vast and these educational tools only scratch the surface, but we hope you will find them to be a good starting point for your classroom discussions and activities.
Oxygen Benefits and Homestead are proud to partner with the Fabien Cousteau Ocean Learning Center (FCOLC) to provide an innovative and exciting educational opportunity available exclusively to New Jersey Public Schools.
A special opportunity to learn about Ocean discovery and preservation and how students can be a part of the solution to help save our vital Ocean planet.

& Exploration (K-2)
Discovering the mystique of our Ocean
Founded on the passion of Fabien Cousteau and his team to bring the lessons learned from Mission 31, where he and his crew lived beneath the sea for a record-breaking 31 days in Aquarius, the only remaining underwater scientific habitat in the world.
Students will learn all about the mystique of what lies beneath the Ocean’s surface and can experience the adventure and beauty of the deep Ocean while building awareness around the importance of our connection to the Ocean.
Sea Turtle Nesting
& Habitat Restoration (3-5)
Activating community engagement & education
The FCOLC strives to change the odds of these beautiful marine animals. It is currently estimated that only 1 in 10,000 baby sea turtles will make it to adulthood. The natural obstacles faced by young and adult sea turtles are staggering, but it is the increasing threats caused by humans that are driving them to extinction.
Students will learn about all things turtles! With a fun, interactive and engaging program, kids find out about the different species of sea turtles that nest on the beaches, successful nest relocation methodology; and the importance of educating, engaging and empowering communities.
& Scientific Research (6-8)
Living and working beneath the sea
Armed with years of experience in leading research teams, Fabien Cousteau followed in the footsteps of his grandfather’s 30-day expedition. With Aquarius serving as Mission 31’s base camp, Fabien and his team spent 31 days exploring and researching climate change, pollution, overconsumption issues, and the psychological and physiological effects such a mission has on its crew.
Students will explore underwater marine research habitats that can revolutionize the way we go about deep-sea discovery and research. The curriculum aims to empower students to learn more about our ocean, take action and drive vital solutions that will help save our ocean and benefit our human well-being.
