An exclusive learning opportunity created by Fabien Cousteau and team!

The goal for our educational programs is to inspire the student-scientists, educators, and learners - to take greater personal responsibility for the Ocean, as well as to enable them to act by sharing ideas and developing new approaches to saving our Ocean, and ultimately our planet’s health. The Ocean is the great unifier and it is our shared responsibility to educate students and provide knowledge on how to protect our Ocean for future generations.

About the packs

Ocean Discovery &

Exploration

(K-2)

Discovering the mystique of our ocean

Founded on the passion of Fabien Cousteau and his team to bring the lessons learned from Mission 31, where he and his crew lived beneath the sea for a record-breaking 31 days in Aquarius, the only remaining underwater scientific habitat in the world.

Students will learn all about the mystique of what lies beneath the Ocean’s surface and can experience the adventure and beauty of  the deep Ocean while building awareness around the importance of our connection to the Ocean.

Sea Turtle Nesting

& Habitat Restoration (3-5)

Activating community engagement & education

The FCOLC strives to change the odds of these beautiful marine animals. It is currently estimated that only 1 in 10,000 baby sea turtles will make it to adulthood. The natural obstacles faced by young and adult sea turtles are staggering, but it is the increasing threats caused by humans that are driving them to extinction.

Students will learn about all things turtles!  With a fun, interactive and engaging program, kids find out about the different species of sea turtles that nest on the beaches, successful nest relocation methodology; and the importance of educating, engaging and empowering communities.

Marine Platforms

& Scientific Research

(6-8)

Living and working beneath the sea

Armed with years of experience in leading research teams, Fabien Cousteau followed in the footsteps of his grandfather’s 30-day expedition. With Aquarius serving as Mission 31’s base camp, Fabien and his team spent 31 days exploring and researching climate change, pollution, overconsumption issues, and the psychological and physiological effects such a mission has on its crew.

Students will explore underwater marine research habitats that can revolutionize the way we go about deep-sea discovery and research. The curriculum aims to empower students to learn more about our ocean, take action and drive vital solutions that will help save our ocean and benefit our human well-being.

The Program

These packs have been designed for use with the Next Generation Science Standards. By combining the interactive curricula of Ocean conservation, discovery missions, underwater habitats, sea turtle ecosystems and more, students will gain immediate access to engaging learning experiences and digital content that provides specific knowledge focused on the importance of our Ocean.

Key Benefits

  • Students will review and expand their knowledge of the Ocean and Ocean life.

  • Students will learn about the importance of field study and first-hand research through studying the only existing underwater habitat in the world.

  • Students will learn about Sea Turtles, the role they play in marine ecosystems, and the work that is being carried out to protect them.
