The Youth Conservation Summits provide youth participants of all ages (upper elementary-college) the opportunity to learn from marine scientists and conservationists about the current threats facing marine ecosystems.
The mission is to empower the next generation of ocean conservationists, with a focus on helping students to launch projects in their communities. Students who participate in these programs will:
- Hear stories of student-driven ocean conservation projects;
- Develop plans for their own projects and mini-grant applications;
- Take part in workshops and training sessions designed to ensure success in securing their mini-grant projects;
- Participants will network with researchers, marine organizations and other young people who are passionate about ocean preservation.
